Bon Jovi: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Tangos to ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’

Dancing With the Stars ‘80s Night Brought Out the Hits

We Tuned in For Livin’ on a Prayer

I thought I would check out “Dancing With the Stars” since it is ‘80s night. It would be un-’80s girl of me not to. And mainly to see how the dancing to Bon Jovi went.

‘80s Songs

A list of the songs that were used in tonight’s show:

  • “Maniac” (I’ll give you $10 if you know who sings it!). Now this song makes sense to dance to. It was used in a dancing movie for Pete’s Sake. Perfect. Watch the performance here.

  • “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears For Fears. This would not be on my list of ‘80s songs to dance to. See how they did here.

  • “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” by New Kids on the Block. On the cusp of being ‘80s! This dance is so awkward I can’t tell who the professional dancer is. You decide for yourself here if they do, have the right stuff.

  • “Like a Virgin” by YOU KNOW WHO IT’S BY. Have I mentioned I’m an ‘80s song snob? By far not Madonna’s best song. Seriously. Pick any other Madonna song. Though I secretly do want to roll around in a tulle skirt. Watch the dance here.

  • “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell. Now, if you’re going to dance to “Tainted Love” you need to do something dramatic for ”I’ve got to BUMP BUMP run away” part. Eh, what do I know. Watch the performance here. (This is Monica from “Cheer,” would love it if her team could’ve been yelling at her on the sidelines!)

  • “Open Arms” by Journey. All I can say is, I guess some people draw the short straw and have to do a slow dance during ‘80s night. Watch it!

  • “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis. They couldn’t get a better Doc wig for the guy?! See what I’m talking about here.

  • “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. How lucky do you have to be to get this rocking song for your dance. It had me singing along. Check it out here or below.

  • “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tiffany. Lorde, Billie Eilish, meet Tiffany. Learn from her mistakes. Oh, the dance. Watch it here.

  • “Rhythm of the Night” by Debarge. We’ve completely lost any Gen Z viewers now. Debarge. Look them up. And look up the performance right here!

  • “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler. Again, not a song I would choose to dance to. Still waiting on the video.

  • “Take On Me” by A-ha. No one loves an ‘80s night more than A-ha. It’s their time to shine! Still waiting on the video.

What did you think? If you were dancing on ‘80s night what song would be your choice?
