Rick Springfield: ‘Traces’ Movie Releasing in 2021
Does rockstar Rick Springfield have a new film coming out?
According to IMDB, the independent film “Traces” starring Pablo Schreiber, Sharon Leal, Sosie Bacon and Rick Springfield has a release date of 2021. That’s as specific as they get. But, considering this film was “currently filming” in 2015 (per Yahoo news), we’ll take it!
Adding to the confusion, IMDB lists “Traces” as the original title, and has AKA “When We Were Seventeen” listed as well. So who knows what this movie is called or when it is coming out. Oh, and there’s a pandemic. So add “where it will be available” to the list of questions. This is almost as puzzling as trying to find out when Rick would be on “I Can See Your Voice.”
Ironically, I’m trying to find traces of more info on a movie called “Traces.” There are a few press articles, all seem based on the same press release, from 2015, and there is an IMDB page…and that’s it.
I reached out to Director Matthew Currie Holmes on Twitter and he replied “News soon!!! Note he added 3 exclamation points, which means it’s going to be extra exciting.
I’m on the case. I will keep looking for details on “Traces.” We all want a Rick Springfield movie to look forward, don’t we?
“Traces” centers on Pablo Schreiber’s character, Damien, who is a ‘90s one-hit wonder suddenly unemployed when his boss, played by Rick Springfield, closes his business. Damien then gets a new chance in the music world by producing the debut album for a new singer.
