Fan Favorite Mexican Pizza Might Return to Taco Bell

Rejoice! Taco Bell might be bringing back the I-don’t-know-what-makes-it-so-good-but-it’s-good Mexican Pizza. Dojo Cat recently took to social media to sing about her love of the food. And there have been petitions to bring it back since the Mexican Pizza was removed from the menu in 2020.

Why does Taco Bell hate us? Don’t they know the extreme stress we are all under? If ever there was a year that defined stress eating, this is it. We need all gluten, cheese, sugar on standby, ready at a moments notice. This isn’t a time for off the cuff culinary decisions. Do you see the Cheetos people making big over the top decisions? Of course not. They know better.

Sadly, it was announced recently that drunk food favorite the Mexican Pizza will be off Taco Bell’s menu in November. Sure, I only had this once a year, but it’s nice to know that cheesy crunchy treat is there should you want (or more accurately need) it.

Created in 1988, the Mexican Pizza is two flour (or is it corn? See, I already forgot about it!) torts with beans and meat (I take it sans beef) in the middle, some kind or red sauce on top that had weird stewed tomatoes, then more tomatoes and cheese. Ok, I’m not making it sound that good but if you haven’t eaten since lunchtime and you go meet your old pal Susan at Red Robin for a few screaming red zombies and then stagger into a Lyft where a nice driver will swing by a drive thru so you have some sustenance to soak up the booze it will be the best tasting thing in the world.
