Bee Girl on ‘I Can See Your Voice’
Bee Girl from Blind Melon “No Rain” Video Makes Appearance on Fox Show
Remember the girl that dressed up as a bee and tap danced in Blind Melon’s “No Rain” video?
Heather DeLoach became famous in 1992 for her dancing and then we didn’t hear much from her. For decades.
Last night she showed up on Fox’s “I Can See Your Voice” and the judges had to guess by looking at her if they think she’s a good singer or a bad singer.
It was a bit awkward while the judges were deliberating that they didn’t seem to know Blind Melon, “No Rain,” or Bee Girl. Watch the moment below.
So what do you think? Is she a good singer or bad singer? Worth noting she just danced in the Blind Melon video, she didn’t belt out any tunes.
Watch the video to see if she can sing.
Yikes! She’s more of a dancer than a singer.
“No Rain” was a huge hit for Blind Melon making them one of the bands to watch during the Alternative Music era of the ‘90s. They were from Los Angeles, not Seattle, but were embedded into that music scene. I saw them open for a Pearl Jam/Neil Young concert and also saw them at a tiny bar in Seattle.
According to Wikipedia, Blind Melon’s album was having little success until the “No Rain” Bee Girl music video came out and the record eventually reached Number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Sadly, lead singer Shannon Hoon died in 1995. The band tried to continue, disbanded, and reformed a few times since.
