Half a century ago the Brady’s went on the infamous road trip. Though if you want to be technical about it, they don’t get to the Grand Canyon until the second episode, which aired on September 24.

The three-part episode started with “Ghost Town U.S.A” Deciding to stop for the night before getting to the Grand Canyon, the Bradys take a pit stop in Cactus Creek. It’s at this ghost town where they meet “prospector” Zaccariah T. Brown played by Mr. Howell from Gilligan’s Island (Jim Backus). He thinks they’re going to take his gold so he locks them in a jail cell. Using their Brady smarts, the family tie some items together and get the key to the cell, freeing themselves. But, their car and trailer are gone.

When Do Bobby and Cindy Get Lost at the Grand Canyon?
In the second episode titled “Grand Canyon or Bust” the family finally get to the Grand Canyon thanks to Mike and Peter finding Zaccariah and their car. Even though they were told not to go exploring on their own, Bobby and Cindy upon seeing and following a Native American boy, leave the family area. Bobby and Cindy are lost, and the family begins their “Bobbbbby…..Cindddddy” search throughout the Grand Canyon.
How Were Bobby and Cindy Found in the Grand Canyon?
In the third and final episode of this adventure, titled “The Brady Braves,” Bobby and Cindy befriend Jimmy, the Native American boy who tells them he has run away. He helps Bobby and Cindy find their way back to their camp, but he asks that they not tell the family about him. Bobby and Cindy sneak food (hot dog in a flashlight!) for Jimmy, but eventually the family finds out about Jimmy. Mike has a talk with Jimmy about why he ran away, the family meets Jimmy’s family, there is a ceremony and the family each receive honorary titles, In true Brady fashion, everything ends up peachy keen.
